Overview

Prominent South Texas Couple seeks an experienced housekeeper to care for their primary residence in Terrell Hills, Texas.  The property is just under 8600 sq. ft. total on ½ an acre. This candidate should be able to harmoniously fit in with the current staff and will report directly to the Estate Manager that has been with the family for 14 years and will work alongside a houseman and part-time Chef. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational knowledge of housekeeping in a luxury home and be able to step in a couple of times per week to cook meals for the Mr. & Mrs. when the part-time Chef is not available.  Cooking quality and invisible service will be major success factors in this position. Schedule: Generally, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm Compensation:  $65,000 - $70,000+/year (DEO) Benefits: 10 days accrued PTO, Full Health, 401k (details at bottom)

Duties & Key Success Factors

  • Daily cleaning, care and maintenance of main residence and guest house (approx. 8,000 sq ft)
  • Housekeeper will work as part of a team onsite which include a Houseman and Estate Manager
  • Laundry, ironing, and closet organization
  • Cooking and meal prep for two people
  • High attention to detail
  • Running errands and/or grocery shopping as needed
  • Management and organization of closets, pantries, etc.
  • All additional organization of home
  • Care of fine furniture, art, antiques, etc.
  • Polishing of and care for all silver, brass, china, etc.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Flexibility to work occasionally at other locations (within Texas) when needed
  • Help prepare for events in the home
  • Packing and unpacking garments for travel
  • Greeting guests, receiving packages, and answering phone calls
  • Serving occasional guests as needed

Other Considerations

Work Schedule:

This is a full time live-out position. Family travels 30-40% of the year. Housekeeper will not be expected to travel, however occasionally working at other properties (within Texas) should be expected. General work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, however some weekends and overtime hours will be required.

Benefits:

Offering a comprehensive benefit plan including, health, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. After 90 days of employment, you will also be eligible to participate in the company 401(K) plan. Benefits will be effective on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. You will receive 10 days / 80 hours of PTO, accrued at the rate of 3.08 hours biweekly throughout the calendar year.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a client’s recently purchased home in Austin, Texas.  The household is home to a long-established High Net Worth (HNW) couple who recently relocated to the area.  The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and technological skills, capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting issues in both the house and on the property.  The candidate should be able to handle small repairs independently and coordinate larger or warranty items with vendors as needed. The home is a Spanish Mediterranean-style architecture home with three stories covering approximately 14,000 sq. ft with six bedrooms (including the main house and guest apartment.) Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (with flexibility) Compensation:  $85,000 - $95,000/year Benefits: Medical, 401k, a very liberal and generous PTO policy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience.

Duties & Key Success Factors

  • Daily management of the home and the property.

  • Management and direction of weekly 1099 Landscaping team. The team comes to the main property once and to the boat slip once per week.
  • Continue to cultivate Vendor Lists and Vendor Policies & Procedures.
  • Establish & manage household inventory.
  • Ensure boats and water toys are ready to go (7 consecutive boat spaces at the bottom of the hill.)
  • Update and maintain the existing Household & Estate Manual.
  • Care of Tortoise.
  • Knowledge of Solar Powered electrical systems.
  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff/Household Manager to ensure the family is supported.

Other Considerations

Primarily report to the Mrs. There is a Beehive/colony on the property that a Beekeeper maintains.  Candidates who are allergic to bees should consider the risk. For strong candidates, this position will grow to encompass additional homes in California & Oregon.  As the position expands in scope and responsibility, the salary will be adjusted to accommodate the additional tasks.

Overview

Location: Fort Worth, TX (DFW candidates will be given priority) Schedule: Tue-Fri 7a.m- to 5p.m on-call as needed. Compensation:  $100,000 Benefits: None. A long-established North Texas couple needs an experienced Household/Estate Manager to care for the property and home.  Discretion and Integrity are paramount.  Your responsibility will be the oversight and management of the 20-acre primary residence in east Fort Worth.  The main house is 10,686+ sq. ft., with two additional guest houses.  You will work in tandem with the Chief of Staff and the Director of Security to ensure the smooth operation of the home and the peace of mind of the Principals. The client is seeking a polished and professional house manager to oversee, coordinate and assist with all aspects of the home. The ideal candidate will embody all the requirements listed below. This person must also have the ability to coordinate with clients to manage accounts and budgets, engage local construction vendors for improvement projects, and create household manuals, schedules, and active lists.

  • Create and maintain Household & Property Inventory.
  • Manage, train, and develop household staff as needed.
  • Inspect the property weekly for repairs or maintenance. Independently coordinate small projects and discuss options for large ones with the Principal.
  • A strong understanding of swimming pool chemicals and maintenance is preferred.
  • Handle simple house maintenance like changing air filters, light bulbs, diffusers, etc.
  • Being hands-on with all administrative duties, including:
    • Invoice management and approval.
    • Assist with Establishing and maintaining a Household Operational Budget.
    • Receipt coding and collecting for staff credit cards.
    • Managing household staff schedules.
  • Ensure that the home and property are kept at the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Run errands as needed (e.g., dry cleaning, shoe repairs/shine, groceries, pick up prescriptions, etc.)

The ideal candidate will have a strong history of grounds and property care and can ensure the grounds and household mechanicals are cared for.  They will be self-motivated, articulate, and able to cultivate a positive relationship with the principals and vendors.  Additional responsibilities will include basic household maintenance and minor repairs.  We are searching for a jack of all trades that will enjoy cultivating a beautiful environment.
