OVERVIEW

Position Code: GRAWIL_HMPA
Schedule: Full Time (schedule varies, see below)
Compensation: $38 – $43/hour
Benefits: PTO, ICHRA account

Young couple is looking for a hands-on housekeeper that can help handle household tasks and help lighten the load.  Principals are looking to reduce the amount of people and vendors they have coming and going through the house. The home is 6,000 sq. ft. on 8 acres. The Mr. & Mrs. are looking for a Swiss Army knife that can step in as needed and take the domestic duties off their shoulders. The home is comprised of Mr., Mrs., 4 small dogs and 3 cats, plus occasional foster animals.

The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a highly dynamic schedule for the majority of the year with semi-frequent overnights to pet sit while Principals are out of town. The schedule tapers off in January – March while Principals are in a secondary residence. The candidate should have a clean driving record and be comfortable providing transportation to/from the airport and event locations for the Mrs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years industry experience.
  • Non-Smoker
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Capable of passing extensive background check and BAI interview.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • High level of discretion, loyalty, integrity, and honesty.
  • Highly organized & excellent eye for detail.
  • Can work independently and remotely.
  • A strong working understanding of the following programs:
    • Control 4
    • Microsoft Office
    • Apple iCal, Notes, Files, iMessages
    • Gmail & Google Drive
    • A strong comfort level with technology and common household and mobile apps.

DUTIES & KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Daily management of the interior and exterior of the home and property.
  • Work closely with the Mrs. to ensure the following:
    • Vendor calendar that does not conflict with Principal calendar and is scheduled as to minimize impact on the Principals.
    • Identify issues with solutions. In some cases, take the initiative to address an issue and advise the Principals after.
  • Light housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness of the home in between housekeeping team visits.
  • Cultivate household manual and work on other digital projects when not at residence.
  • Establish and manage household inventory.
  • Fleet Management of 3 vehicles.
  • Simple meal prep. Execute meal plan of pre-prepared meals.
  • Grocery shopping, pantry, and refrigerator stocking.
  • Pre-Arrival & Post-Departure care of guest suite when guest arrive.
  • Pre-Arrival & Post-Departure of Arizona home when Principals travel.
  • Travel coordination as needed. Flights, Rental Car, Transportation, Vehicle Shipping, etc.
  • Rare event execution assistance.
  • Help with specialty creative projects.
  • Regular airport and event pick up/drop off.
  • Overnights as needed for pet sitting (3 – 14 days per stay).
  • Use of personal vehicle for work errands. Reimbursed at IRS rate.
  • While principals are away, be the first call for any alarms or needs checks at the residence.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

SCHEDULE NOTES: Below is an example of what to expect schedule-wise, it is not an exact schedule that would be followed.

The candidate will meet with Mrs. on a weekly basis to discuss the scheduling needs for the following week. Mrs. works diligently to provide as much advance notice as possible for travel.

March – January:

  • 5-day work week with Monday & Thursday off.
  • Hours can vary from 2 pm – 7 pm or 9 am – 2 pm Friday to Wednesday, depending on Principal’s schedule for that week.
  • Most days won’t exceed 5 hours at the residence, and rarely a full 8-hour day.
  • Principals travel for 3 – 7 days twice per month. During these times, the candidate will stay at the residence to care for the fur-babies. (guests not allowed)

January – End of March (Preferred time to take PTO):

  • Travel to secondary home to prep for Principal’s arrival.
  • Pantry & Fridge purge.
  • Project Management.
  • Regular household inspections.
  • End of March – return prep.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and capable of using a ladder up to 6’
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Ability to negotiate a multi-story house with stairs many times a day
