Overview
A warm and approachable Mr. & Mrs. in the heart of Houston is searching for a personal assistant to help bring organization to their home and the family calendar. While this position will be new to the household, the family has a proven track record of retaining employees, ranging from 10-30 years. There are three homes in Texas, your focus will be in and around the Houston home and play a key role in coordinating and facilitating the needs of the additional homes. The Principals are kind and genuine, and the Mrs. is willing to meet daily as needed and is very open to direction and suggestions. She works best with positive people who want to support and encourage.
While some duties will align with Household Management tasks, there is no hierarchy for the staff. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player who will work collaboratively with Mrs. to ensure the homes are always operating.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in managing HNW clients and their schedules.
- Established longevity.
- Ability to seamlessly fit into a harmonious work environment.
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
- High level of discretion, loyalty, integrity, and honesty.
- Highly organized and has an excellent eye for detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Capable of passing an extensive background check and BAI interview.
- High technology proficiency. Apple products are heavily used.
- Multiple calendar management.
- Project coordination.
- Time management.
Duties & Key Success Factors
- Ensure household and personal calendars are updated and accurate.
- Develop documentation including maintenance schedules, inventories, and preferences.
- Facilitate communication between two other properties in Texas.
- Vendor Coordination & Supervision – Setting appointments for house repairs and maintenance.
- Responsible for coordinating advanced schedules for all household mechanicals.
- Perform simple house maintenance tasks (air filters, light bulbs, diffusers, etc.)
- Develop and maintain household inventories. Restocking as needed.
- Personal errands as needed (e.g., dry cleaning, shoe repairs/shine, groceries, pick up prescriptions, etc.)
- Sift through the technology graveyard to centralize scattered data and discard old tech.
- Help prioritize and coordinate a list of pending tasks.
- Inventory storage units and coordinate potential consolidation.
- Sell, Donate, Toss coordination of areas organized.
- Lite housekeeping if needed.
- Minor cooking or meal prep as needed.
- Seasonal decorations and family event planning.
- Be cost-conscious when coordinating repairs and services
Other Considerations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Ability to negotiate a multi-story house with stairs many times a day.
- Ability to use a ladder up to 6’
