Professional networking can bring many benefits to your work life, including opening up new job opportunities, gaining valuable industry insights, and building a network of colleagues who can provide support and mentorship. Beyond the professional advantages, networking can also have a positive impact on your mental health. It can help you feel more connected to your industry and colleagues, provide a sense of belonging, and reduce feelings of isolation or stress (not like PSPs have either of those issues, right?.)
By building and maintaining professional relationships, you can foster a supportive and collaborative community that benefits both your career and personal well-being.
This is a list of currently available networking groups and associations that cater to the Private Service Industry.
Association
A professional association is an organization that is formed by people who work in the same field or industry. The purpose of a professional association is to promote and support the interests of its members, provide education and training, and facilitate networking and communication among professionals in the field. Membership in a professional association can offer numerous benefits, such as access to resources, job opportunities, and continuing education.
Networking Group
Is simply a group of professionals that get together for a Happy Hour or Coffee. They are not formally structured, and most do not require dues. Similar to what we do in DFW, we will be at XYZ from 6pm – 8pm, come and have a drink. While great for getting together, they don’t offer the deeper resources that formal Associations do.
