Compensation: $28 – $30+/hour DOE
Benefits: 10 days PTO after 1st year, full benefits package offered

Overview

The family, located in Friendswood, Texas, is looking for a Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and organization of their newly renovated 24,000-square-foot residence on ~5 acres. The property encompasses the Main House, Casita, and Gym, and is home to Mr. and Mrs., their two daughters, and four beloved pets.

The ideal candidate will play an important role in maintaining a welcoming, organized and clean environment for the family and guests. The employee will report to the Executive Housekeeper and will be required to be on-site daily.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Private Residence or Luxury Hotel/Resort
• Legal to work in the US
• A positive attitude and love for what you do
• Ability to seamlessly fit into a harmonious work environment
• A strong grasp of English
• High level of discretion, loyalty, integrity, and honesty
• Highly organized and have an excellent eye for detail
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Capable of passing an extensive background check
• Non-Smoker
• Capable of working independently without constant supervision
• Adaptable/flexible with a readiness to do whatever it takes whenever it is needed

Duties & Key Success Factors

• Full-charge housekeeping, including Housekeeping, House Cleaning, and Deep Cleaning.
• Understand the process for cleaning a room/space (top to bottom, left to right, least to most, etc.).
• Organization of personal and storage closets.
• Inventorying and ordering household supplies.
• Care and laundering of fine linens and fabrics.
• Care and laundering of culture garments, including steaming, ironing, and mending.
• Care of silver, crystal, and fine jewelry.
• Care of various surfaces such as stone, wood, ceramic, and metals.
• Cleaning chemical usage and mixing.
• Understanding of the cleaning and sanitizing process.
• Maintaining garments and organizing closets.
• Laundry, including ironing and mending.
• Removing stains, keeping fabrics looking their best.
• Vacuuming carpets and rugs.
• Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, and showers.
• Household sundry and housekeeping inventory management.
• Restocking toiletries and supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and towels.
• Regular cleaning of kitchen appliances, such as ovens and refrigerators.
• Organizing and tidying up living spaces, such as living rooms and bedrooms.
• Taking out the trash and recycling.
• Packing and unpacking for Principal’s travel.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Ability to negotiate a multi-story house with stairs many times a day
• Ability to use a ladder up to 6’
