CLIENT DESCRIPTION

The client is a successful entrepreneur. He is seeking to hire a top-notch house manager. The successful candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. The House Manager is responsible for “owning” the residence and ensuring a positive experience by successfully managing all day-to-day home operations.

The family are extremely health conscious and would love to hire a like-minded individual for their home, newly relocated from Europe, French a plus

REQUIREMENTS

First and foremost, the house manager needs to establish and enforce protocol for the 6,500 sq ft house. The ideal candidate has previous management experience requiring extensive attention to detail, budgeting as well as identifying issues and implementing necessary changes, policies, and procedures. This individual must have knowledge of or eagerness to learn and employ proper service etiquette and care of fine furnishings, art, and wardrobe. This is a “hands-on” position and requires an individual willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and keep the principal happy.

• Previous residential management experience
• Help in securing a housekeeper and part-time chef
• Very high standard of cleanliness
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Versatile professional with a high standard of integrity
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must possess a positive” can-do” attitude with excellent service skills
• Must be highly organized with the ability to seamlessly manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to maintain composure in a highly stressful environment
• Ability to work weekends
• Professional, positive demeanor
• Expert knowledge of how to properly care for and launder fine clothing
• Proactive thinker that can anticipate the needs of a bachelor
• Ability to travel between residences

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing and maintaining the residence and all of its accessories
• Keeping a working schedule for household operations and maintenance
• Supervise and monitor outside contractors working on the property
• Ensure all areas of the house are properly maintained (wine cellar, humidor. theatre, bar, hot tub, etc.)
• Oversee extensive security system and procedures
• Oversee and monitor the household bank account(s) with the business accountant(s)
• Create household reference manuals for property
• Oversee planning of social engagements in the home
• Oversee major renovation
• Interview, select, negotiate costs of and oversee vendors/contractors
• Oversee the art and antique collections at each property
• Oversee security requirements
• Oversee Smart house system
• Oversee entire household staff, any related administration, and Human Resources
