Overview

Health-conscious family of four with a strong appreciation of varied and creative cuisine seeks an experienced, discreet, live-out private chef in Palm Beach, with summers in the Hamptons or elsewhere. The ideal candidate should have a European sensibility and/or training and be able to create visually pleasing dishes that are rich in flavor and also be comfortable cooking boxed mac and cheese for the children or coordinating build your own pizza meals.

Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years industry experience

Duties & Key Success Factors

  • Creatively provisions for multiple kitchens (including groceries, shopping online and at local suppliers, procuring exotic ingredients, all kitchen gadgets, and equipment, etc.)
  • Oversee all elements of food and beverage service (both front and back of house operations)
  • Demonstrate a passion for their craft without an overinflated ego.
  • Capable of presenting menu with a creative flair.
  • Make the simplest of dinner an experience.
  • Respect family's extremely specific standards of ingredient sourcing
  • Accommodate food restrictions when required (gluten-free, sugar-free, etc.)
  • Adhere to strict standards of household organization in all kitchens, pantries, and fridges

  • Travel to Hamptons with family for 2 months each year.

Other Considerations

The perfect candidate will have no ego and a positive attitude and be able to seamlessly fit into a dynamic environment. Family is Mr., Mrs. and 2 children under the age of 10 that are very adventurous eaters who appreciate a wide variety of cuisine.  Also in the house is a cat and a dog (very friendly). The work schedule will generally be Monday to Friday. Flexibility around this schedule to work weekends, different hours for family vacations, during the summer, and in other circumstances is required.

Overview

Wonderful family in the University Park area of Dallas is looking for an experienced and innovative Personal Chef for a private family located near the SMU area.  You will primarily be cooking for two, with occasional extended family members and guests joining.  From time to time the family will host special occasions such as garden parties or lunch with friends. The family moves to a beach location in the Northeast for the summer months.  The candidate is expected to travel and perform similar duties at the summer location.  All costs associated with travel, including airfare and accommodation, will be covered.  You must have a passion for creating delicious meals and be comfortable cooking in a private kitchen. The ideal candidate knows how to develop original menu items that reflect client preferences for a healthy lifestyle with high protein and vegetarian options in frequent rotation.  You be responsible for weekly grocery shopping and meal planning, will order food and supplies from local vendors and on-line, check ingredients for freshness, and prepare meals within a scheduled timeframe.  Client expectations are for fresh dinner preparation approximately 4 times a week, while providing ready-made meals for lunches and snacks.

The primary residence is approximately 25k sq ft. on nearly 2 acres, plus a ‘Mini Ranch” with an 8k sq ft. main house and outbuildings. **This position requires an experienced leader in Private Service.  Resumes without a minimum of 8 years of Estate Managemenexperience will not be considered.
